Fallen longitudinal arch

In this condition, the longitudinal foot arch has lost its original shape and flattened under strain. This is a common issue that many people suffer from. The foot may have been subjected to heavy load causing the longitudinal arch to begin to collapse. The condition often causes pain along the inside of the foot. As a result, the foot’s biomechanical shock absorption is negatively affected, which can lead to inflammation and a number of other problems in the foot due to the muscles, tendons, etc. being displaced. Pain can also occur in the knees and hips due to the fallen foot arch. Common reasons are being overweight, pregnant or having weakened muscles in the arch.

Ortolab insoles:

By providing dynamic support to the longitudinal arch, Ortolab insoles recreate the shape and function of the arch without inhibiting the foot’s natural range of motion. In this way, they can also reduce overpronation.
