Tendonitis is usually caused by overexertion and causes pain, swelling and tenderness in and around the Achilles tendon. The injury is commonly sustained during exercise or sports. Out of shape individuals who take on overly ambitious exercise plans and seasoned athletes who change shoes (often of the “barefoot” type with a low heel drop), surfaces etc. are typically affected. Soft ground such as sand as well as uphill running may trigger the condition. Other risk factors include quick turns and abrupt stops. Symptoms may include swelling of the hamstring, pain when straining the hamstring, intense pain and tenderness and impaired function in the hamstring. Individuals with tendonitis commonly feel stiffness in the mornings or when sitting down for long stretches of time. It can also cause the tendon to “creak” or ”pop” audibly. The Achilles tendon is the tendon of the deep and shallow calf muscle. It runs down to the heel bone via the back of the knee.
Ortolab insoles:
The insoles can alleviate parts of the conditions through good shock absorption and by supporting and relieving the musculoskeletal system of the entire foot, particularly the dynamic support in both the longitudinal and transverse arches of the foot. The functional heel cup with high edges is also a positive factor.
