Morton’s Neouroma is also known as Morton’s Toe (nerve entrapment). Upon jumping or taking a step, if the sole of the foot is slightly bent and the toes are bent up, nerves can be compressed between the metatarsals. In this scenario, the sensory nerves between the 2nd and 3rd, as well as the 3rd and 4th metatarsals are compressed by the ligaments. The toes may then become pinched and form a sore nerve knot, which can cause severe pain when under strain akin to a stabbing sensation. Another reason may be that the metatarsals are compressed by excessively tight shoes. Descended front foot arches is another possible cause. Nerve pain radiating from the outside of one toe to the inside of the nearest toe may be felt. It can almost feel as if someone has taken a knife to your foot, or an electric shock.<\/div>\n

Ortolab insoles:<\/h4>\n
Ortolab insoles have a dynamic pad (forefoot cushion) under the front transverse arch. This provides support for the five metatarsals and thus relieves the head of the metatarsals at the front of the toe joint, which is dense with nerve endings.
